The three pieces in this work were created throughout 2020 during the Covid 19 lockdowns as a way of experimenting with different recording techniques and learning how to use technology to create music. I constructed these pieces around the double bass and certain techniques of recording and manipulating with different guitar pedals and lopping. The pieces take inspiration from various different styles of music and artists including Charlie Haden, Barre Phillips and Jon Hopkins. Making music in this way helped me find the joy in creating when I could not create music with other people.
